Course Description
This course provides an overview introducing travel concepts, skills, and techniques which are used by individuals with visual impairments. Students will participate in practicum experience using blind fold and low vision simulation as well as learn skills and techniques to comfortable interact with low vision individuals. Skills and topics covered will include: basic sighted guide, concept and skill development, travel methods used by visually impaired individuals, and assessment / referral concerns.
