Registration for Fall 2010 begins March 15, 2010
The following courses are being offered through North Carolina Central University's Visual Impairment Training Program.
- EDEC 5501 Introduction to Visual Impairments - 3 credit hours - Dr. Harris. This course is an on-line course.
- EDEC 5502 Introduction to Braille Code - 1 Credit Hour - Dr. Wormsley. This course is on-line and has 4 face to face classes.
- EDEC 5508 Technology for the Visually Impaired - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Harris. This is Face-to-Face class with Teleclassroom capabilities.
- EDEC 5601 Structure and Function of the Eye - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Walker. This is Face-to-Face class with Teleclassroom capabilities.
- EDEC 5602 Teaching Braille and Communications Skills - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Wormsley. This is a Hybrid on-class with some face to face classes.
- EDEC 5631 Assessment and Planning for Diverse Learners with Visual Impairments - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Harris. This is a Hybrid on-line class with some face to face classes.
- EDEC 5606 Praxis I - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Walker. Permission of Instructor Required. This is a face to face course.
- EDEC 5605 Sensory Motor - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Walker. Permission of Instructor Required. This is a face to face course.
- EDEC 5696 Practicum in VI - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Harris. Hours Arranged
- EDEC 5697 Practicum in O&M - 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Walker. Hours Arranged
- EDEC 5530 Practicum in VRT – 3 Credit Hours - Dr. Walker. Hours arranged
